When Mary Jo Schoonover walked into her first job interview in 1976, she had no idea she would spend the next 50 years helping shape the Foremost Farms’ Richland Center plant.

Bryan Allen has spent more than a decade shaping the quality, consistency, and craftsmanship of the cheese produced at Foremost Farms’ Clayton facility. Today, he is not only a Production Manager, he is also a newly certified Master Cheesemaker in Mozzarella and Provolone, one of the most prestigious distinctions in the dairy industry.

Meet Jill Ewert, Analyst II in Accounting Systems at Foremost Farms and recent recipient of the Udder Excellence Silo Breaker Award. Jill led the successful dissolution of the Greenville Venture Partners entity, streamlining operations by transitioning Greenville to plant status.

In the dairy industry, uncertainty is a constant; so fostering a growth mindset and prioritizing learning and leadership development have been essential to continuous improvement at Foremost Farms, a major dairy manufacturing business and member cooperative.

Employees from across Foremost Farms proudly represented the cooperative at Cheese Expo last month at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event brought together over 5-thousand dairy professionals, giving our teams the chance to connect with industry partners and explore the latest developments in cheese production strategy, innovation and collaboration.
