Meet Beth Yanke of Yanke Prairie Farms LTD!

Near Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, Beth Yanke is proudly continuing a lifelong connection to her family’s farm, Yanke Prairie Farms LTD. As both a dedicated farm hand and field representative for her dairy cooperative, Beth stays busy, both on the farm and in the dairy industry. She works alongside her dad and cousin, helping care for animals and ensure the land continues to thrive for future generations.

Beth’s dairy journey started early, growing up immersed in life on the farm. Today, her passion for animal care shines through in everything she does, whether she’s working hands on with cows at home or supporting other farmers through her work.

“My favorite part of farming is being able to work with my family and care for our animals,” Beth says. It’s that deep connection to land, livestock, and loved ones that makes her proud to be part of Wisconsin’s dairy heritage.

The Yanke family’s milk is shipped to Foremost Farms USA, where it’s turned into everyday favorites like cheese, butter, and yogurt. On the sustainability front, Yanke Prairie Farms uses cover crops, no-till practices, crop rotation, selective breeding, and plate coolers to maximize efficiency while protecting the environment. They’re also actively involved in local dairy promotion efforts, helping consumers learn more about where their food comes from.

For Beth, being a community voice for agriculture is just as important as her work on the farm. She’s an active member of the Sauk County Dairy Promoters, Inc., Sauk County fair board, dairy breakfast committee, and FFA alumni, and has undergone spokesperson training to confidently share her farm’s story with the public.

What brings her joy? “Being able to share our story with our community,” she says. Whether it’s at a county fair or through local outreach events, Beth is committed to building understanding and appreciation for the care that goes into every glass of milk. She believes in the importance of keeping agriculture visible and accessible in her community and is always ready to answer questions and connect with consumers.

When she’s not farming, Beth enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting.

Stay tuned into central-Wisconsin dairy events. You just might meet Beth sharing the story behind some world class dairy products.
