Appleton Team Honored for Energy Excellence

October 21, 2025

On October 17, Foremost Farms’ Appleton facility was awarded a Focus on Energy (FOE) incentive check totaling $261,563 – recognizing their outstanding commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. This milestone reflects Appleton’s 2025 strategy to reduce energy waste by preventing and repairing leaks, increasing heat recovery and adding pipe insulation to optimize performance and lower operating costs.

Thanks to these efforts, the Appleton team saved enough energy to power 881 homes for an entire year!

In addition to the site-wide recognition, FOE presented a special honor to Appleton’s Maintenance Manager, Mark Mueller for his pivotal role in advancing energy initiatives. Since partnering with FOE in 2020, Mark has helped secure nearly $480,000 in incentives and saved enough energy to power more than 1,500 homes for a year.

Thank you to Mark and the entire Appleton team for exemplifying our commitment to Take Care of Our World and advancing our cooperative strategy for a more sustainable future.
