Bill plays a key role in building strong relationships with our customers, ensuring they receive the best of what we offer. His expertise in sales and passion for the dairy industry help drive our continued success in delivering high-quality products to the market.
Please describe some highlights of your role within Foremost Farms:
As the National Account Sales Manager at Foremost Farms, I lead our Foodservice business across the East Coast. My role involves working closely with distribution partners, national and regional accounts, convenience stores and manufacturing customers. It’s a rewarding position that presents new opportunities, challenges, exciting travel and the chance to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my job is solving customer needs through our cheese products. Whether it’s an urgent request or long-term solution, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work we do truly makes a difference for our customers, employees and members.
How do you collaborate with other Foremost Farms teams to deliver on customer needs?
Communication is key! At Foremost Farms, we truly live our “One Team” value by working cross-functionally with care and respect. Every department plays a vital role – from understanding customer needs to finding solutions and executing them together.
What is one product that is currently gaining momentum in the foodservice industry?
In the cheese world, it’s less about one standout product and more about the growing demand for variety and innovation. At Foremost Farms, we’re seeing strong momentum in our Provolone business, but we’re also expanding into more unique and flavorful options like Brick, Monterey Jack, Muenster, Gouda and even Mexican-style and non-traditional cheeses.
This diversification allows our customers to expand their flavor offerings while streamlining logistics – filling their trucks, consolidating suppliers and ultimately saving money. It’s all about flexibility, flavor and smart solutions.
What do you think sets Foremost Farms products apart in the foodservice industry?
It all comes down to quality—hands down. Foremost Farms delivers some of the best and most consistent cheese on the market. Our customers know they can count on that signature Wisconsin cheese excellence, and we’re proud to be the ones providing it. At the end of the day, happy cows really do make great cheese and our commitment to quality starts on the farm and carries through every step of the process.
May is National American Cheese Month and American cheese consistently ranks among the top three most preferred cheeses in the U.S. In your opinion, what makes American cheese so popular – and what’s your favorite way to enjoy it?
American cheese is popular for a lot of reasons. It enhances the flavor of so many dishes, adds nutritional value with protein and is incredibly versatile. Plus, it’s a comfort food staple for many. Honestly, most things just taste better with cheese, right? (My kids couldn’t get enough of it when they were younger!)
As for me, being an Italian boy, nothing beats a sprinkle of cheese on my pasta, lasagna, or chicken parmesan. That’s pure heaven in my book!
