Middleton, Wisc. (August 18, 2026) — Foremost Farms USA, a leading dairy cooperative, proudly showcased the quality of Wisconsin dairy at the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair, earing multiple top awards and serving as the Official Butter Sponsor of the Real Wisconsin Cheese Grill.
At the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest, Foremost Farms received three top-three finishes among more than 500 entries from across the state:
- First Place – Smoked Provolone (Appleton, Wisc.)
- First Place – Salted Butter (Reedsburg, Wisc.)
- Third Place – Muenster Brick (Appleton, Wisc.)
The cooperative’s award-winning products were also featured in the Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Auction, which generated a combined $6,200 for Foremost Farms products. The auction featured the sale of each winning class entry from the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Products Contest, with proceeds supporting student scholarships and dairy promotion efforts at the State Fair.
As the Official Butter Sponsor of the Real Wisconsin Cheese Grill, Foremost Farms donated 1,200 pounds of its award-winning salted butter from the Reedsburg plant. The butter was used to make thousands of grilled cheese sandwiches served to fairgoers throughout the event.

More than a dozen cooperative employees also volunteered at the grill, helping serve one of the fair’s most popular attractions, which sold an average of 5,000 sandwiches each day.
